Cut a long video into clips
Turn one long video into short, ready-to-post clips — Ikrames finds the best moments and renders them for you.
Got a long video — a podcast, a webinar, a talk? Clips finds the moments most likely to travel, ranks them, and renders each one as a short vertical video with captions.
Before you start: Clips isn't in the sidebar. Open Compose, then click the Clips chip below the format cards. Make sure the brand you want the clips saved to is selected first.
Add your video
- Open Compose ▸ Clips.
- Either click Upload and pick a video file (MP4, MOV, or WebM), or paste a video link into the field and submit. Very large files are rejected before upload, so trim beforehand if needed.
- Ikrames uploads, transcribes, and looks for clip-worthy moments. You'll see the status move through transcribing and finding clips — it keeps working while you wait.
Choose length and captions
These settings apply to the video you're processing, so set them before you add it (or re-add the video to change them):
- Clip length — Auto lets Ikrames choose, or pin every clip to 30s, 45s, 60s, or 90s.
- Caption language — keep Original (captions in the spoken language), or switch to Translate to caption into German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, or Portuguese while the audio stays original.
- Caption style — pick a burned-in caption style from the chips, each with a mini-preview. Choose None if your video already has subtitles baked in.
Review the ranked clips
When processing finishes, click View results. Each clip card shows:
- a viral score (higher = more promising), with clips sorted best-first;
- the start–end time it was cut from;
- the hook line and a short note on why it was picked, plus topic tags.
You can hit Play preview on a clip to watch it first — this is free and doesn't spend any credits.
Render, download, publish
- On a clip you like, click Render (or Export). Rendering spends credits; the amount is shown before you confirm. If you're short, Ikrames prompts you to top up. See plans & credits.
- Render as many of the ranked clips as you want — each one renders independently, and you'll see a per-clip progress estimate.
- When a clip is ready, Download the MP4, or click Publish to send it to your connected accounts. Publish only lights up once you've connected an account for the brand.
If a render fails, use Retry on the card.
