Connect a HeyGen twin
Render your persona-reel avatar on your own HeyGen digital twin instead of the built-in avatar.
If you have a HeyGen digital twin, you can have your persona reels speak through your twin instead of the built-in avatar. Your cloned voice still drives the audio — the twin just lip-syncs to it, so the face on screen is yours.
Before you start
- You need a HeyGen account with a digital twin already created.
- You must be the brand's owner or admin — the page is read-only for other members.
- Your brand needs a default avatar set up first, because your twin look attaches to it. If you haven't done that yet, follow set up your persona →.
Connect your twin
- Open Brand Settings ▸ Integrations.
- Paste your HeyGen key into the key field. It's stored securely and only ever shown as the last four characters — the full key is never displayed again.
- Click Connect & load twins. This checks the key and, in the same step, pulls in the looks from your HeyGen account.
- When your looks load, pick the one you want from the look dropdown. Some looks are marked as higher-quality engines — the label tells you which.
- Click Save.
Once saved, you'll see a small "connected" line with your key's last four characters and the chosen look. That's it — the next persona reel you generate for this brand renders on your twin.
What this changes
- Only persona reels. Other formats — scripted B-roll, talking-head, viral rebuild — are unaffected.
- Per-brand. Each brand connects (or skips) its own twin. Connecting one brand doesn't touch the others.
- Your voice stays your voice. The twin lip-syncs to your cloned voice; there's no separate voice picker here.
This step is optional. If you don't connect a twin, persona reels use the built-in avatar engine as usual — nothing breaks, and you can connect a twin later.
About cost
The avatar generation for a twin runs on your own HeyGen credit. Ikrames does not charge a render credit for that avatar step. The rest of the reel (captions, music, the final render) is priced as normal, and the app shows the estimate before you confirm.
To disconnect later, come back to this page and use Remove next to the connected line. Your persona reels then fall back to the built-in avatar.
