Edit captions and music

Once Ikrames has built a reel, you don't have to accept it as-is. The reel editor lets you restyle captions, set the music and sound, and cut it shorter — all with a free preview — before you spend anything on a render.

Before you start: you need a reel that's already been generated. If you don't have one yet, make one first: your first reel →.

Open the reel

1. Go to Library ▸ Reels.
2. Click the reel's card. It opens the reel editor — one fullscreen surface with panels down the left side (Transcript, Captions, Footage, Music, Story, Export) and a video preview on the right.

Pick a caption style

1. Open the Captions panel.
2. You'll see a grid of caption styles, each with a small sample so you can compare them at a glance. The one currently in use is marked.
3. Click any style to apply it. The change is composition-wide, and the preview refreshes to show it.

Set music and sound

1. Open the Music panel.
2. Choose a track from the dropdown, or pick None to run with no background music.
3. Drag the volume slider to set how loud the music sits under the voice.
4. Set the sound design level — Off, Subtle, or Full — to control sound effects tied to your reel's beats.

Cut it shorter

The Transcript panel shows every spoken word.

1. Switch to the Cut mode.
2. Click the words you want to remove — they get struck through.
3. Click the cut button to trim them out. This is free, and a shorter reel also renders cheaper.

Need to fix a wrong word instead of removing it? Switch the same panel to Text mode, click a word, retype it, and save.

Preview — for free

The video player on the right plays your current version. Watching it costs nothing and doesn't spend render credits, so replay it as often as you like after each change.

Release to render

Reels stop at a ready-to-render checkpoint so you never pay for a render by accident.

1. When the preview looks right, click Release in the editor's footer (or Render in the Export panel).
2. Rendering spends render credits — the exact amount is shown on the button before you confirm. See what does a reel cost →.
3. When it finishes, download the MP4 or send it toward publishing from the Export panel.
